Dodge Diesel Cummings Install 3
We Filter It!
This Installation was done on an early model Dodge Diesel Cummings and Scott did a few things different than most for his special wants on his pride and joy which he fondly named "Big Huey."
Scott chose to mount his Frantz Oil Filter with the canister going down. Most would call it up side down, but interpretation is in the eye of the one doing it!
Scott also included some pressure gauges so that he could monitor the flow through his Frantz.
In addition to the extra pressure gauges, Scott installed a ball valve for the purpose of monitoring the quality of his oil by pulling samples on a regular basis.
His pressure feed came from a secondary port near the traditional spin on filter location and he returned the oil into the oil fill cap located in the valve cover using an Ams/Oil Swivel Fitting.
This installation was also made more special by the way he created a secondary mount for the Frantz Filter mounting bracket.
